While no preparations are necessary, there are some things you can do to get the most out of your service, such as:
Make sure you don’t have to be anywhere in a hurry after your session.
Take a shower before your appointment.
Wear comfy clothes to your appointment.
Turn your phone off or set it to silent mode before your session.
Remove any jewelry before your session.
Try to let go of your problems and just enjoy the time you’ve given yourself to unwind.
If you have long hair and would like a scalp massage, please let your hair down.
If your appointment is a home visit, please choose and clear an area for me to set up my equipment for work. (Ideally at least 10ft by 8ft). If you cannot clear the area, that’s okay, I arrive early to allow for setup time.

~ Text me when you arrive for your session (5 minutes early is recommended) and I will come out to get you from the lobby once I’m ready for your appointment.
~ I will take you back to the suite and go over your intake forms and wellness goals with you.
~ I will excuse myself to wash my hands and allow you time to undress to your level of comfort before getting comfortable between the sheets on the table.
~ Before returning, I will knock for confirmation that you’re ready for me to enter.
~ Massage treatment will begin.
~ After our session, I will excuse myself again to wash my hands and allow you time to get dressed.
~ Once you are dressed you can open the door to let me in.
~ I’ll offer you tea or water and we’ll get your bill settled (if not prepaid). P.S. Don’t forget to check if I have any discounts that apply to you!
~That’s it. Thank you for supporting my business and have a great day :)

By booking an appointment you are preventing other clients from booking that same time slot. In the event that you cancel your appointment without giving at least 24 hours notice, you MAY be charged 50% of the service cost, as it is much more difficult to replace your appointment with another under short notice. If you cancel without any notice or no call/no show, you MAY be charged 100% of the service cost as you’ve made it impossible to replace your appointment with another.
I’m not an unreasonable man and given extenuating circumstances this fee may be waived. However, I will not let you continuously take advantage of my kindness. If you repeatedly cancel without proper notice, I will no longer waive the cancellation fee for you. Please respect my time and schedule your appointments responsibly.

You would be supporting a small, local business, which is good for the local economy. Plus I’d just personally appreciate it. :)
I give full length sessions. Most chains and even other independents will book appointments that are 60/90/120 minutes, but your hands-on service is about 10 minutes shorter to allow time to clean the room and change sheets. I, however, give you your full time and keep a gap between sessions to do this without imposing on your appointment. ***Keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment as I don’t want to make you late for anything. If you need to leave by a certain time that will cut your time short, let me know and I will shave some of the cost off your appointment and make sure you can leave in time.***
Better quality sheets. Most high turnover massage establishments use the same sheet vendors that hospitals use, which means their sheets tend to be lower quality and they have no control over the condition of the sheets received. I purchase and wash my sheets myself, so you can rest assured they have not been treated with harsh chemicals or subjected to strange conditions that would require them. I use premium microfiber sheets made from 100% double brushed polyester.
No hard selling. I have a very simple pricing structure to keep you from stressing over being sold things you don’t care about. Just book the time you want and I will adapt your massage to suit your needs/wants to the best of my ability within the time allotted.
Competitive pricing. My non-member rates are lower than a massage chain’s non-member rates, and my memberships are comparably priced, but don't require you to commit for any length of time. Unlike a corporation, I respect you and want you to come see me because you want to, not because I've trapped you in a contract. You are free to cancel and renew your membership as you please.
Hospitality. I try to have anything you might need on hand. I have water and tea to drink. I keep nutrigrain bars in case you have low blood sugar. Detangling brushes, lens wipes, hair ties, a lint roller and a fabric shaver to make sure you look as good as you feel. Wet and dry hot towels available so you can remove any excess lotion/oil before putting clothes back on. And ear plugs to help send you off to sleep.

Floridasmassagetherapy.gov is the official government website for massage in the state of Florida. You can use this to check the validity of a license, see if there are any marks against a license, file a complaint to have a practioner/establishment, and review Florida’s laws regarding massage therapy.
The Institute of Human Anatomy has a youtube channel with a lot of great information on anatomy and physiology.
I also have a YouTube channel that I will post massage related videos to.
